The Dubai Ports Authority (DPA) has joined the International Association of Ports and Harbors (IAPH), marking a strategic step toward strengthening global maritime collaboration. As a member, DPA will engage with port communities across more than 90 countries, supporting initiatives focused on emissions reduction, digital transformation, and supply chain efficiency. The move aligns with Dubai’s broader ambition to position itself as a future-ready maritime hub. By participating in IAPH-led programs, the Authority aims to accelerate the adoption of advanced technologies, improve data coordination, and contribute to the development of global port standards, particularly in areas such as sustainability and operational safety. Officials highlighted that the membership will enable deeper knowledge exchange and open up opportunities for joint projects. This is expected to enhance operational resilience, improve service delivery, and strengthen Dubai’s ability to respond to evolving global supply chain dynamics. The development also reinforces the strategic importance of Dubai’s key ports, including Jebel Ali, Mina Rashid, and Al Hamriya. Through international partnerships and continued infrastructure and service upgrades, the Authority is positioning these assets as innovation-driven hubs that support long-term trade growth and maritime sustainability.
