The Zayed Sustainability Prize 2026 was announced on 13 January 2026 as part of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, celebrating innovative projects from the UAE, Singapore, Switzerland, Brazil and Nepal that are delivering measurable sustainability impact. The prize recognises solutions that address pressing global challenges while supporting long-term environmental and social resilience. Award-winning initiatives span key sustainability sectors, including health, food security, clean energy, water management and climate action. Recognised projects include AI-driven health screening tools, biodegradable packaging created from agricultural waste, energy-efficient cooling models, smart water leak detection systems and low-carbon building materials designed to reduce emissions and resource use. In addition to enterprise and community solutions, the prize also honoured youth-led sustainability initiatives through its Global High Schools category. These projects focus on renewable energy adoption, water conservation and circular food systems, highlighting the growing role of young innovators in shaping sustainable development pathways worldwide.
