US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor said “big things” are ahead for India-US cooperation in the nuclear energy sector, highlighting growing momentum around bilateral energy ties. His remarks followed meetings between American nuclear industry representatives and Indian officials during the ‘US Nuclear Executive Mission to India,’ organized with support from the Nuclear Energy Institute and the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum. The discussions come as the US seeks to strengthen its role in supporting global clean energy infrastructure and advanced nuclear deployment. American companies are increasingly looking at India’s rapidly expanding energy market as a long-term opportunity, particularly as electricity demand accelerates due to growth in data centers, artificial intelligence, semiconductors, logistics, and advanced manufacturing.
