At the recent UN High-Level Political Forum (HLPF), the United Arab Emirates reaffirmed its strong commitment to sustainable development and global cooperation. In an official address, Abdulla Lootah, Assistant Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Competitiveness and Experience Exchange, emphasized the UAE’s strategy of turning sustainability ambitions into practical, scalable solutions for accelerating SDG progress. The UAE showcased its growing global leadership in sustainability by highlighting its contributions across multiple fronts. These included its efforts to combat environmental crime in the Amazon Basin, restore marine ecosystems, empower female leadership, and promote international knowledge exchange. These initiatives reflected the UAE’s model of combining innovation with diplomacy to drive real-world impact. Mr. Lootah also stressed the importance of collective action and international cooperation, underscoring that the path to a more inclusive and sustainable future depends on shared responsibility. The UAE reaffirmed its readiness to work with global partners to meet the 2030 Agenda and champion transformative solutions on the world stage. As global challenges grow more complex, the UAE continues to position itself as a bridge between regions, sectors, and stakeholders, linking ambition to action in the race toward the SDGs.
