Malaysia to Host Southeast Asia’s Premier Sustainability Summit in 2025

Malaysia will host the Kuala Lumpur Sustainability Summit 2025 (KLSS) from 14 to 16 October 2025 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. The event, organised by the national ministries responsible for natural-resources, environment and economy, aims to bring together more than 400 participants from government, business, academia and civil society. Under the theme “Inclusivity and Sustainability”, the summit positions Malaysia as a regional driver of climate-resilience and sustainable economic transformation. It will feature keynote addresses, dialogue sessions, and culminate in a declaration on climate resilience, designed to advance the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals across. As the 2025 Chair of ASEAN, Malaysia is using the summit to amplify regional collaboration, emphasise equitable climate action and accelerate the shift from ambition to measurable outcomes.
