The Kerala–EU Blue Economy Conclave, held in Kovalam, brought together over 500 delegates from India and 17 European countries to explore sustainable marine development and climate-resilient economic strategies. Under the theme “Blue Tides – Two Shores One Vision,” the event highlighted Kerala’s commitment to leading the way in coastal sustainability, marine innovation, and clean energy, while strengthening its ties with the European Union. The conclave featured in-depth discussions on topics such as sustainable fisheries, port modernization, circular economy practices, and coastal tourism. Delegates also visited key shoreline communities and port areas to observe local economic and ecological practices. By the conclusion of the event, Kerala had attracted investment proposals worth ₹7,288 crore from 28 investors, signalling strong industry confidence in the state’s blue economy roadmap. The European delegation proposed the creation of a joint platform to guide long-term cooperation, reinforcing the conclave's impact as a foundation for future global collaboration.
