India’s state-owned Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) plans to acquire between 2.5 and 3 gigawatts (GW) of renewable energy projects by 2030, according to Executive Director Satyan Kumar. The company already operates about 2.5 GW of renewable capacity, marking steady progress in its shift toward cleaner energy sources. Alongside its green energy ambitions, ONGC is also working to secure long-term liquefied natural gas (LNG) import deals. The company aims to import around 3 million tonnes of LNG annually and expects to finalize some of these contracts within the next year.
