The Haryana government has unveiled its Vision 2047 roadmap, presenting a long-term strategy to transform urban areas through sustainable infrastructure, digital governance, and improved public services. The initiative aims to build more resilient, efficient, and citizen-centric cities while supporting long-term economic and environmental development.
A key highlight of the roadmap is the establishment of waste-to-energy plants to improve municipal solid waste management, reduce landfill dependence, and promote resource recovery through circular economy practices. The plan also includes pilot projects for 24x7 drinking water supply, strengthening sustainable water infrastructure and ensuring reliable access to clean water for urban residents.
The vision further focuses on enhancing governance through digital innovation, including the introduction of a Super App that will integrate multiple government services into a single platform, improving accessibility, transparency, and service delivery.
Additionally, the roadmap includes the development of Namo City, a planned greenfield urban project designed with modern infrastructure and sustainable planning principles to support future population growth and economic expansion.
