Dubai Customs has launched a comprehensive project to update its strategic plan for 2026–2030, aiming to align future operations with national sustainability, digital transformation and economic competitiveness goals. The initiative reflects Dubai’s broader push to modernise government services while supporting sustainable trade growth. The updated strategy will focus on enhancing customs efficiency, strengthening regulatory frameworks, and leveraging advanced technologies to improve transparency and compliance. Sustainability considerations will be embedded across operations, including resource efficiency, reduced environmental impact, and smarter logistics management. Officials highlighted that customs authorities play a critical role in enabling responsible trade by facilitating legitimate commerce while preventing illicit or environmentally harmful goods from entering supply chains. The strategic refresh will also support Dubai’s ambition to remain a leading global trade and logistics hub. By aligning its long-term planning with sustainability and innovation priorities, Dubai Customs aims to contribute to economic resilience, support green growth, and enhance cooperation with regional and international partners.
