The Clean UAE 2025 campaign kicked off across Dubai and Sharjah, engaging thousands of volunteers in public clean-up drives and environmental awareness activities. Organised under the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, the campaign promotes waste reduction, sustainable practices, and community involvement. Volunteers collected litter, planted greenery, and raised awareness about the environmental impact of pollution on urban and natural ecosystems. Officials emphasised that such initiatives are crucial to fostering a culture of civic responsibility and sustainability in the UAE. Community engagement is seen as an effective way to complement national policies and achieve the country’s broader environmental goals. Participants also highlighted how volunteer efforts strengthen social cohesion while promoting tangible improvements in public spaces. The campaign serves as a platform for knowledge sharing, demonstrating practical approaches to sustainable waste management, recycling, and conservation. By involving schools, corporations, and local communities, Clean UAE 2025 exemplifies the integration of environmental stewardship with social engagement, creating long-term behavioural change aligned with national sustainability ambitions.
