Bahrain and Saudi Arabia Sign MoU to Strengthen Sustainable Development Cooperation

Bahrain and Saudi Arabia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to deepen cooperation in sustainable development, marking a significant step in strengthening regional collaboration. The agreement was formalized during the fourth meeting of the Bahraini-Saudi Coordination Council, chaired by Crown Prince and Prime Minister HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa and Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The MoU reflects both nations’ shared commitment to advancing coordinated development strategies that support long-term economic and environmental goals. Signed by Bahrain’s Minister of Sustainable Development, Noor bint Ali Alkhulaif, and Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Economy and Planning, Faisal bin Fadhil Alibrahim, the agreement focuses on enhancing expertise exchange, capacity building, and raising public awareness on sustainable development issues. It also covers the development of joint policies and the implementation of collaborative programmes that align with future national visions, including sustainable economic diversification and growth. Minister Alkhulaif highlighted the deep-rooted relationship between the two kingdoms and emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation to achieve collective progress in sustainable development. The MoU reinforces the strategic partnership between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, paving the way for more integrated initiatives across various sectors and supporting their mutual aspirations for a resilient and sustainable future.
