The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) has released a draft update to its Corporate Net-Zero Standard, introducing stricter emissions reduction targets, flexible Scope 3 commitments, and enhanced carbon removal requirements. Companies are now classified based on size and geography, ensuring tailored climate action.
The revised standard also mandates greater transparency and annual progress reporting to drive accountability. These updates will strengthen corporate responsibility in the global net-zero transition.
