France has launched a landmark Charter for the Paris-Aligned and High-Integrity Use of Carbon Credits to guide companies in responsibly using carbon credits alongside real emissions reductions. The charter mandates transparent reporting, prioritization of internal decarbonization, and use of verified, high-quality credits aligned with global standards like Article 6.4 and ICVCM. With early support from 17 companies, it sets a global benchmark for credible corporate climate action.
